Minor Flooding

We've had some great rain, 6" since yesterday, but it hasn't stopped. So now we have some flooding. This is some of the front yard. Back side yard.
The "new" dog run. Luckily I had just cleaned it up before it started to rain.

Phoenix Trip

Another trip to Phx this time for homeschool items at the convention. The kids stayed the day with my folks and she bought them a little project to do. This is Kaleb's lego car. Klara got a princess puzzle.
A storm moved near us and gave us wonderful clouds to look at during sunset. No rain, but nice to look at.
Since it cooled off due to the clouds, a boat ride was in order.
A quick visit to Great Granny. She was having a good day and loved seeing us.

In or Out???

I thought this was so funny. I was working on the computer and Daisy was half in and half out of her doggie door. Just sitting there....no intentions to move from this spot. I can hear her now, "Do, doodoo, doodoo, My head is warm from the sun and my butt is nice and cool....ahhh, the life."

M.R.E.

I was told I didn't put the best pic of the new car in here, so here's a better view of it I hope. The gentleman who sold us the car also gave the kids a MRE from the army. Wow were the kids excited to eat them.
I can not get over how much food is packed into one of these.
The kids thought it was neat eating out of the bags instead of plates. That didn't last long since this was dinner for 3 of us. I didn't want kid slobber all over my food.
The meal was complete with dessert and a hot drink. Our meal took us over an hour to eat because it was so much darn fun. There was even enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. With all the sacrifices our military make, the least we can do is give them hearty meals. Thanks to Tony for sharing with us. It was great fun.....2 thumbs up!!

Art and Lights

I was looking at some art books to buy Kaleb for school in a few weeks when we go to the convention. So I did some research on line and found Mark Kistler on youtube. He taught me how to draw these two items. Please keep in mind that I can't even draw a cool stick man so to do these just by following his instructions is fantastic for me. So above, the chain isn't perfect but I gave it the ol' heave hoe try. Below is my coooool shark. I HIGHLY recommend this guy if you want to draw. I have a long ways to go but these two drawings are leaps and bounds better than my dorky stick figures.
Yep, I did that!! Go me!!
These are the headlights from the new car. Clif stopped by a friends house who gave him the wax to shine up your lights. So he tried it and wow, what a difference. The one on the left is treated and the one on the right is what they looked like. Wow, the car looks much better now. The box is pictured above. It's turtle wax headlight restore. It's at Walmart for about $8 bucks.
They look brand new now!!!!
