The New Bike Trailer

Our new bike trailer. Since Clif is working nights now, we bought this bike trailer for me to get exercise with the kids. I think it was his way of getting us out of the house during the day so he can sleep better. But it's tons of fun, the kids love it, and it does get us out for the morning.
It's a tight fit now, but soon Kaleb should be riding his own bike and Klara will be the princess in tow. This also easily converts to a stroller as well. We got a smokin' deal on it thru ebay.
Here are the kids in the trailer with the screen down. Tons of fun!!

My Hair Cut

My new hair cut but of course I still had to add pics of the kids.

Isn't that grass looking great!! Yes, I'm proud of it.
I just thought this was so funny. Both kids turned around at the same time.

1st Real Hair Cut

We took Klara to get her first real hair cut. Now she doesn't have to go around with uneven Mommy cuts. She did so great just sitting there. Afterwards, the kids got to play on the toys. They don't have these cool toys at the Flag mall (oh, we were at the Prescott mall).

Earrings!!

Guess what we did....Klara has been wanting earrings really bad, so with Clif's ok, we went yesterday. Here is before.
Klara was all smiles while we were marking her ears. She just loved (notice past tense) the nurse, Liz. She was great with Klara....she even gave us extra earrings with no charge.
Klara was a bit unsure as to what will happen next, but here goes the first ear....
...and the aftermath of the first earring.
A quick recovery with the help of motrin. She still doesn't care for the cleaning part, but she loves her new look.
A bit more video of Klara showing off her earrings with a hi from Kaleb.

Safety Fair 2008

Every year at the elementary school there is a safety fair....and we try to go each year for something different to do. This was the first time that Kaleb got in the jump house. As you can see, he was the only one and what really helped was when I told him to jump on it like he does at home on his bed (that he gets in trouble for). Then he knew what to do and loved it....until someone else came in.
There were all sorts of emergency vehicles there. They got in an ambulance, fire truck, saw a police car and a seat belt demo....the most talked about one was the helicopter!! So after many pics, I settled on this one to show you.
The mascot, Safety Pup, was roaming around. Kaleb (another first) agreed to take a pic by him. We also got a pic of Kaleb with Smokey the Bear....but again, I thought one pic was enough for now.
Klara is really a "monkey see, monkey do" girl. She also loved the bounce house (only alone) and I got this pic of her in mid-air. Since this was her first time also, I got some video of her as well.
Here is Klara's video of her jumping. Eventhough she didn't catch a ton of air, she had a great time. I almost had to climb in there in order to get her out of there. It was a great day and they both took really great naps afterwards.

Snow in May!

Yes, we got 8" of snow overnight with the forecast expecting more today and maybe tomorrow. The kids were delighted to see it and have already played in it until they were numb. The sad part is that Clif took the camera to work today so I didn't get a pic of the house or yard. The other thing is that I may have to plant new flowers....I'm not sure they will make it under all that snow. I don't think marigolds like snow.....but I could be wrong. I need to remain strong and not plant anything new until Memorial Day. It's should be safe from freezing then, but the snow is a welcomed site!!

Welcome

I'd like to say welcome to the Sims family! They are now starting to blog too and have a great website with a beautiful baby in the photos. You have such a pretty family and I'm excited to see pics of Michaela more often now. I've added their link to our site under friends.

Knobs

Our new lamp
Master Bathroom knobs
Close up of the knobs in the kitchen. This was the first one I did.
Kitchen Island

It must be spring....I got so many little projects done around the house today. I am most proud of the knobs. I have never done them before and taking the drill to the pretty cabinets was a bit un-nerving, however, I did it! And I think it looks great!! Now I wish we had put knobs on the house right away.

3TV Video

Finally, I have figured out how to add video to our blog thanks to Jennifer!! I recorded off our tv the kids segment from this morning. I'm so proud of the kids!!

Video of Kaleb's Summersault

Kaleb's Summersault

Kaleb did his first summersault and now he loves it. Step 1...assume the position.
Step 2...tuck the chin
Step 3...enjoy the ride and flap your arms.
Step 4....say,"Ta-Da".

More 3TV Pics

Kids with Tara and Dan
Kids with Olivia
Their big TV moment!!

By the steam engine
Brad was out about town so this is the only pic we got of him. He was standing in a sea of 2nd graders.
Good-Bye!! (I think Olivia really liked the kids)

Klara's doo-rag. The tv station handed out the "hankies" with their road trip on them. I just can't stop saying how great everyone on the crew was. One producer even took us into the news van for a look.....what a fun day. Hmmm, who had more fun....kids or mom???!!

3 TV

Yeah, we just got back from being on 3TV. The news came to our little town on their road trip and took over the train station. The steam engine was out as well as the TV personalities. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The kids even got a close up at one point which I've added a link for. http://www.azfamily.com/video/gmaz-index.html?nvid=243312&shu=1
Ok, I hope that works. The kids are just on the begining of the clip in case you don't want to watch the whole thing. Anyways, it sure was fun and I'll get the pics that I took loaded soon.

Now it's May....

Gee, is it really May already??? It's been busy month and will continue that way, but that makes good photo chances!
Klara and I painted our nails. She just loves them and now only wants to wear sandals.
Bumble Bee
Kaleb took this pic.
Kaleb "watering" our grass, and Dexter only got a little wet....
Sitting on my old rocking chair.Klara with her cousin.
We took a trip to see more family and help around the house. This is a before pic of laying the wood floors.
This is kind of the after shot.
Sure looks good and will look great when it's swept up and cleaned. It was a lot of work, but fun too and the results are great. I think we all want wood floors now.

Klara our climber.

Phoenix Trip in April

We took a fast trip to Phoenix to visit family. Here are a few pics of the trip.

The kids pose next to their names in the concrete. Rob is making a new shower and said it was ok. It will be covered up by the tile in the shower, but at least we have the pic to prove it.

A day at the park.
Kaleb will finally go down the "dark" slide.
Who's up there?
Umm, is this safe??
Klara and her Papa

Kaleb with Great Granny Nadine.
Before church we stopped by to say hi to Granny.
After church, time for the pool.
Dexter loves the grass and sun.
Pool fun for both.

When we got back home we went out for a night on the town. We stopped at our local pizza shop and had a great dinner, went for ice cream and then treated to a free horse drawn carriage ride. A friend of mine takes the pics and then sells them to the riders, but he gave us ours. I don't have a scanner, but this came out ok I think. The kids loved it and continue to ask to ride the horse when we go by. What a great day that was!
