Clif's TV b-day Wish

Happy Birthday to my wonderful hubby. Thanks for working as hard as you do! I'm sorry you have to work tonight, but a yummy dinner party will be fun tonight! Love you lots!

Daisy and the Garden

Turning "left" again. She is still holding up her left ear. Daisy got a new kennel. She needed a new one since the first one we bought is too small for her to sleep in. So now she has a new bed. She slept in it lastnight for the first time and did great!
Some yummies from our garden. Sure has been fun!

A Soft Place

As soon as I put down Clif's folded laundry by the door, Daisy jumped in. She ended up falling asleep in there. Can anyone say spoiled?? Kaleb and I finished our school day with a great game of dominoes. Really, it was only a game, not school (wink, wink).

Storage Shed

We decided to put up another storage shed in the back to store all our garage stuff. The kids enjoyed helping. My folks came up to help.
The finished product. Since we have a tiny backyard, our placement options were....well, one place. It was tons of fun moving into it the next day during the constant rain.
Now, both cars fit in the CLEAN garage!

Butternut Reproduction

I suppose you remember our pumpkin blogs last year. Well good for you that we are not growing pumpkins this year....but we are growing butternut squash. We had our first flowers today so I got to pass down the education to Klara about what to do with the qtip and the pollen.

Why Did The Lobster Cross The Road??

Ok, so I was out for a jog this morning and saw a leaf moving. Funny I think since it's summer and the leaves have not dropped yet. So upon getting closer, the leaf appears to be moving. Now really wanting to see what this is and I used this as a good excuse to take a break, I go to check it out. What did I find, a LOBSTER!!! Really?!?!?!?!? There he/she/it was in the road. I decided to finish my next lap with more enthusiasm to see if it was really there or not and he/she/it was now in the middle of the road. Really, a lobster. Of course, I didn't have a camera so I hustled home, jumped in the car and drove back there to get this pic. It wasn't until later when I was in the shower that I thought, duhhh, I should have put him/her/it in a bucket and ate it for dinner. Oh well. Who would have guessed! This is clearly an undeveloped housing area where he was discovered. By the time I got back to take the pic, he/she/it had finished crossing the street and made it to the other side.
So why did the lobster cross the road?? To provide entertainment for me, of course!

Kaibab Lake

Sat was a rainy day so we took a drive and ended up by a local lake/campground to look around. Hug the tree!! Kaleb, not so much but thanks.

Overlooking the lake with Humphreys Peak in the back ground.
Are the guys related or what?!?
