5th Tooth!!

Well, this barely 8 year old has lost his 5th tooth this morning. I noticed he wasn't eating his breakfast and then saw his tooth just hanging there. I convinced him to wiggle it around and moments later, it was out. This is the first time he has pulled his own tooth out. Tooth fairy will visit tonight. My parents send in pictures to the local tv station and they air the during the b-day segmet. So I paused the tv and got this pic. Fun to share this with my son!! Love ya big boy!

Dinner and a Show

We took the kids to Sakura, a teppanyaki dinner. They cook your order in front of your famly style table. There is usually fire as part of the cooking show and the kids were taken back by it. The fire is also on the dinner plates.

A look of relief, some what....they were both very nervous.

An onion volcano!
Lastly, a small flame on our birthday desserts.

Wind Farm

A new wind farm is going up about 13 miles north of where we live. We took a trip out there to check it out and we were able to get right next to one still being installed. This first picture is the "nose" with the blades attached on the ground. This is the part that attaches to the back of the "nose". I thought it was a camper at first.

Looking inside the pole that will be going up.

One of the finished products. There will be 62 of these installed over 20,000 acres. So far, we only saw 4 completed and another 6 being worked on.

Our Trip to Colors

We took a morning and went up the mountain in our town to see the fall colors. This is at the top overlooking the valley behind us. Great shot except for Daisy moving. Some of what we saw.

On the way back down, we found a great pull off area and got pics of the kids.

We had also collected leaves and made our own placemats for the season.

Kaleb's 8th B-day Party

Kaleb's 8th birthday party!! He was a ninja this year!! Klara was a princess or queen.

We did tatoos, crafts, costumes and of course, cake...well, cupcakes this time.
And the picture of those in costume who attended.

Update

Geez, it's been awhile since I last loaded pics here. Let's see, first off you see a pic of Christina and I. We went on a girls weekend and visited a winery and had lots of good food. A weekend away was just what was needed. Thanks to our guys who stayed home with the kids and held down the fort so we could escape. Here are the kids all dressed up. I was having a "dancing with the starts" marathon...so the kids had one of their own. So cute! I even brought out the video camera to record this event.

My parents came up for a visit and we took them to Bearizona for the day. There the kids went thru a hay maze, and did other fall activities. There was even a haunted bear cave...

Before leaving, we went to the raptor show. The birds are trained to fly from the front of the seating area to the back....and they just "skim" the top of your head. Now that is something to see and feel.
