Emergency Brake

As I was driving with 3 kids in the car on Thursday I heard and felt a sound that wasn't right. I looked in the rearview to see if I lost a bumper!! Back to the house we went and Clif was able to diagnose that the er brake fell apart inside the tire area. So after borrowing a friend's car for the rest of the night, Clif left early for work to buy the new parts we needed. It only took him 1/2 of the day to do the fix himself. We looked into having it done by a mechanic and it would have cost about $500....Clif did it for only $70. I feel like I should say....a fixed and safe car again... priceless. Thanks Clif!!

A Quick Post

As part of Spring Break for the kids, we went to Bearizona. It's a drive thru wild life park with all sorts of animals including....bears. We bought a season pass this time and plan to use it lots with family, friends, and daycare kids. I didn't post any pics of the animals but will next time. The kids started their spring break with tattoos....of course, this pic looks like Kaleb is about to punch his sister....but they really are showing off their tattoos. Then off to Grandma's they went for about a week to spend time there (we call it "Camp Grandma" since the kids do lots of activities). Also the kids were able to have sleepovers with their cousins.
When the kids came home, we con't our fun with a few projects. This one was a wood train kit. Each of us got one train car to sand, paint, and assemble. The kids had tons of fun putting their own mark on their train. When they were all dry (paint and glue) they fit together to form one long train.
The finished look. We also have done a crystal making project and a book for bearizona trip is in the process. We'll start school again next week.

Klara's 5th Birthday!!

On Klara's b-day the tv station posted a pic of her on the tv. Thanks to Mema and Papa.
I made a quick b-day hat for her....she LOVES it. Ummm, ok. I surprised her be decorating the house before she got up in the morning. She liked the decorations and will be having cupcakes and presents today.
This is her b-day outfit she got from my folks. We had a party for her in Phx over the weekend. It was completed with a trip to Rainforest Cafe for dinner. They came and sang to her with a small brownie and ice cream and a candle.
A few presents at the house and some yummy cupcakes and of course, Blue Bell ice cream.

Oh So Long...

It's been way too long since I last updated.....I just loaded my pics off my camera from Christmas. Awful! Well, here are just a few to share.....but not to bore you with xmas. For Valentines day the kids got some goodies and we made chocolate yummies. Didn't really matter what the yummy was just as long as it was covered in chocolate. Mmmm. We also celebrated Daisy's 1st birthday.

We took a trip to Phx to see my folks and my mom put together a really nice anniversary table for us. It was our 10 year so mom kept the theme of silver and yellow. We even did the marriage toast and fed each other cake. It was nice to think back 10 years ago before a house and babies. Can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
