Another Home Depot day. Today they made goal posts. These were a bit harder because they had to use screws. Well, they still had fun and we were able to avoid the dreaded paint table. I told the kids they could paint their posts at home.....tragedy avoided. We went with some friends of ours, shopped (because it is Home Depot), and went to lunch. What a fun day!!
The completed projects.

Up To Date
We went to the county fair this year. It's pretty much the same ol' thing, but the kids enjoyed the animals quite a bit. However, the only pic I took was this one of Kaleb on a backhoe. He loved it and it was hard to get him off of it. I guess I didn't take pics of the kids and the animal due to the smell. We looked and moved on.
Now don't be too sad....but this is the last of the soccer pics. Thanks for enduring them. His coach treated the team to Dairy Queen and I think Kaleb made the biggest mess of all the kids there. He sure liked it, but maybe we should let him have ice cream cones more often so he knows how to eat them. He sure enjoyed it.
Klara of course got one too....not nearly as messy as Kaleb. That's Kaleb's hand on the right. I should have brought a hose. I think I used almost every napkin that was there.
This is Kaleb getting his trophy from his coach....even she didn't want to touch him.
This was the best pic I could get of his trophy. The camera was having a hard time with focus.
On the bottom of it has his name, his team name, and organization with 2008. We are very proud of him!!

White Horse
Ski Resort for lunch.
An old...snowmobile/tractor thingy (that's the city coming out in me)
Sycamore Canyon
White Horse Lake
White Horse Lake

We took a family day car trip in the forest this weekend. We just wanted to get outside in the forest and be together as a family. So we drove to our ski resort and had lunch. We then took the kids to White Horse Lake....they both fell asleep on the way there so we stopped by Sycamore Canyon first. It was a really nice day together.

I (we) Made It
Ahh, the first day of school is over....I'll never have that day again....you know, first born, stay at home mom, great big school bus....again, ahh. I stayed pretty busy that day but I was like a kid at Christmas when 2:30pm rolled around. Klara and I waited and waited and waited...and waited some more for the bus. It finally arrived around 3:15pm (which felt like eternity!!). I was so, no wait....SOOOO happy to see him. He did great and he was most excited that he got to play on the playground 2 times in one day!! Today was day 2....and I'm proud to say I did much better. Only a few tears to fight back as he got on the bus to go. We are now dealing with new issues...he has a hard time adjusting to life back at home. He's been a little aggressive with his sister and then he takes a little nap. I knew we would have this adjustment to make and we'll get thru it. Thanks for all the words of encouragement that has come my way by emails and phone. I'm still glad the "first day of school" is over....it was rough.

1st Day Of School
I wanted to get this out right away to keep me busy, however, my eyes are quite blurry. Kaleb was so excited to start school today. He wears a uniform and gets to ride the bus. But, he was a bit nervous about the bus. So Clif got up and stayed home with Klara. They waited outside on the driveway and waved goodbye as Kaleb and I got on the bus. I rode the bus with him and I'm sure glad I did. It's noisy....were busses that noisy when we were kids??? Well, he was a little intimidated by that but did fine overall. I pointed out landmarks for him and he learned where he could hold on. At school, the teachers ushered all the kids to the building and all I got was a kiss.(boo hoo) He took off and went on his way....a little shy like, but followed the instructions. I walked home with my tissues in hand. I thought I had it together until I walked in the door and daddy says "who's that" to Klara. She came running to the door and said "mommy and Kaleb"....and then she says "where's Kaleb". Yep, more boo hoo from mommy. So we explained and now here I am. Clif went back to bed and us girls will go do some errands today to stay busy. Kaleb will ride the bus home today without me and I can't wait until 3pm to see him!! (neither can Klara)
Of course, Klara wanted a pic too when she saw the ones of Kaleb.

Yes, More Soccer
I just can't help it. I'm so proud of our boy playing soccer and actually participating. This was snack time before the game. I guess I need to work with Klara on keeping her legs closed. Good thing it was a skort. But I love the glasses on them both!!
More pics of Kaleb kicking the ball.....
A group "High-5" after a score. Little did they know, as they were trying to "organize" their hand slap, the other team was waiting on them to start the next play. Very Cute!!
