Agh, It's Hot

It's certainly time for outside play in the sprinklers. With no a/c and hot temps, the house feels like a sauna. Outside we went and the kids had fun playing and eating homemade popsicles.
Klara's not been feeling well. She's had fevers as high as 104 and has remained pretty high for a few days now. She is working on her 4th 2yr old molar, but it has not broken thru yet. 104 is pretty high for teething, but all her other symptoms seem to fit (ear ache, not eating much, etc). We see the dentist in about a week so we'll go from there with what he says about that tooth.
The kids should be going to grandma and grandpa's next week. I say should because of Klara's fever. I know they will have fun, meanwhile, I'll be getting ready for a massive garage sale. Yes, MASSIVE!! I can't wait.

The Spider

We all know the song....The itsy-bitsy spider.....this one was found in the bark in the back yard. I was lucky to get these pics. After some research on the internet...we found he (yes he) is a red backed jumping spider. NOT poisonous!! I'm very thankful that he didn't jump at me...I would have pee'd my pants! Agh

Dexter's B-Day

The kids got to make the cake for Dexter this year. As always, we talked about who gets to blow out the candles. They were very excited to find out they get to help Dexter this time. Good looking dog for being 8.

4th of July in Phoenix

All I can say right now is UGH>>> I can't seem to re-arrange these pics to be in the order I want on Blogger. Urgh!! So here is Klara asleep the day after we saw fireworks. They started the show at 9:30pm and we got home after 10:30pm. So it was a late night for the kiddos. And yes, she is sitting at the table asleep.
And here are the fireworks...a pic that Clif got...good job! This is before the show...we were waiting in a grassy area and it was only 103 with no breeze. Quite hot!
The kids got to run around before the show to release some excited energy.
This pic is of earlier in the day. My mom had bought these plates that you can color on and make your own design. This is what the kids did and they love their plates.

More of Phx

Phooie.....I can't seem to get the pics to move so I've given up. You'll just have to see them a bit out of order. Sorry. So this was last night, we did dad's b-day. Not sure how long we stared at these candles, but it was a long time. Mom bought "shimmer" candles, so we all sat there and waited for them to shimmer. After a while, nothing happened and we finally let him blow them out.
Much later that night, Kaleb fell asleep with Mema.
Kids holding Happy B-day sign. Earlier, Mema and kids ran in the rain. Rain is a rare sight in the dessert, so we took time out to play in it.
Some more play in the little pool.
This is the next door neighbors pool. More play time.

Mema bought the kids wood dinosaurs to put together. Kaleb did his all by himself and daddy helped Klara.
Showing off their masterpieces.
Our visit with Great Granny Nadine.

4 generations here.
Great Granny is actually my dad's mom, but still 4 generations.

Some Phx Pics

We have been on vacation this week in Phx to visit some family. Since it's soooo hot, we have been living in the kiddie pool. We've also spent some time at my parents next door neighbor's pool. That's a nice treat. Since we have been here, we've seen 2 movies, Up and Transformers. Both kids did great in the movies!! We've also looked into online schools to see if that's an option for us.....of course, we've shopped too. So nice to be in the city again to shop! Man I miss the options it gives you. Cheaper prices too. We visited with Great Granny Nadine and will see her again tomorrow. Had a b-day party for Papa. Then enjoyed a nice long thunderstorm last night.
The kids have been on a few boat rides too. Here, Klara is "fishing".
More photos to come soon. This is all for now.

T-Ball Award

Well, it's over....Kaleb got his t-ball award and had his last game. A happy moment.
Above: Getting his award from his coaches. Below: some friends of ours who came to see his last game.
