MeMa's Birthday

A small birthday party for MeMa since she was here. And yes, she is also on TV.

The kids made her some gifts out of the local pine trees. Klara's was a centerpiece and Kaleb's was a candle holder.

Thanksgiving Eve

We did Thanksgiving a day earlier since Clif had to work on the real Thanksgiving day. So the night we did turkey, then it was time to take the annual walk. We went to the train station who does the Polar Express. They are all lights and anything else Christmas. (This is why we put up lights early....read the next post to get more info) So here are some pics of that walk.

Thanksgiving 2011

Well, sorry, but my pictures got out of order. I forgot. However, you can see the kids eating turkey, Kaleb really wanted the leg. Below is a family shot.

Here the kids are showing off their art they've made for the event.

Our house lit for the Christmas season. Nice thing about living in a small town...if I put up lights for as long as they request, then I'll get a discount on my bill in Jan!! I think it's worth it. But that means the lights are up for 6 weeks now. Good thing they are LED.

Small snowman in the backyard. He lasted quite a while since the temps were so low for so long.

Phx in Nov

A visit to see Great Granny Nadine. A quick trip on the lake.

A little snooze while kids had a yummy snack.

First Snow for 2011 Winter

After a great time in Phx, we came home and ended up with this.

Halloween Fun -2

Kaleb's pumpkin. The black things are handlebars like Grandpa's mustache. Klara's pumpkin she almost carved all by herself.

The kids on halloween night.

Their loot. Gotta remember there are 2 kids which equals twice the candy. Oh how I don't want all this in my house.....noooooooo.

But the red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting wasn't a bad win!!

Halloween Fun -1

We took Mema and Papa out to see the wind farm and found a spot to do the soda/mentos fountain thingy. We did this out in the forest so not to make a mess at my house. It wasn't as explosive as we had imagined, but still was fun....and still glad the mess was not at my house. The eruption.

Time for pumpkins. The kids carved their own this year, except for Klara's mouth on her's. Mom gave her some help.

The final results. As usual, we are all standing behind our pumpkins.
